Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT
Dear Members
Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.
What’s Been Happening This set, officers from the team took part in a Multi-Agency Road Safety Operation (MARSO) with the force’s Road Harm Prevention Team and other agencies. Several vehicles were seized for varying reasons including no driving licence, no insurance and displaying false plates. Operations like this make our roads safer.
Intelligence After receiving intelligence that registration plates and ID cards had been dumped down a drain, enquiries were carried out which revealed that the vehicle which the plates belonged had been stolen from the MET. Officers attend, whilst there was no sign of the stolen vehicle at the given location, looking in the vicinity, bingo! One happy owner. As your local neighbourhood team, we appreciate intelligence from the local community which helps us to prevent crime and target offenders.
Decamp On Friday 13th October, a vehicle tried to evade officers, the driver endeavoured to run off but was detained. It soon became clear why, searching the vehicle number plates were in the boot and false ones on display. The driver also had no licence or insurance. Vehicle was accordingly seized.
